This is a Rhyme Chart. A Rhyme Chart is an easy way to find words that rhyme with each other. The first two lines are basically the alphabet. Say you want to find words that rhyme with the word “Cat”. You replace the first letter “C” with “A” the first letter of the alphabet, and then with “B” you skip “C” since “Cat” is the original word, and then D and so on. If you do this what you will get first is “Aat” which is not a word, but “At” is. The next word you will get will be “Bat” and then “Dat” which is not a word but “That” is. If you do this method from A to Z you will most likely find some words that rhyme. The third line is to add “R” or “L” as the second letter to a word. For example the word “Fee” if you add “R” as the second letter you will get the word “Free” and if you add “L” as the second letter you will get the word “Flee”. All three of these words rhyme with each other. The forth line is to replace the last letter from N to M or M to N. For example from the word “Gun” you will get the word “Gum” or vice versa. The fifth line is similar to the forth line, if a word ends with any of the letters on the fifth line, you can replace them with each other. For example the word ”Tab” If you replace the “B” with “D” you will get the word “Tad” and if you replace it with “G”. You will get the word “Tag” and so on. The sixth line is similar to the fifth and forth lines, if a word ends with any of the letters on the sixth line, you can replace them with each other. For example from the word “Mop” If you replace the “P” with “T” you will get the word “Mot” which is not a word but “Mott” is. If you replace the last letter with “K” you will get “Mok” which is not a word but “Mock” is. The seventh and last line is similar to the first and second lines which is the alphabet. On the seventh line you will replace the first letter of any word with any two letters that are together on the seventh line. For example the word “Not” if you replace the first letter “N” with “SH” you will get the word “Shot” and if you replace it with “SP” You will get the word “Spot”. You can also combine two or more lines to get even more words that rhyme. For example we use the seventh line to get “Shot” from the word “Not”. Now that we have “Shot” you can use the sixth line to get the word “Shop” by replacing the last letter “T” with “P”. If you use this Rhyme Chart wisely it can get you out of most jams when it comes to finding words that rhyme when writing music and poetry.
